Blackman Becomes First Civic Tech Entrepreneur to Win Coveted EY Award in Program’s 30-Year History, Finalist for National Award
SAN RAMON, Calif. – June 27, 2016 - Accela, the leading provider of cloud-based productivity and civic engagement solutions for government, today announced that Ernst and Young has awarded Maury Blackman with the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Software. The awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. This is the first time in the program’s 30-year history that the committee has recognized a civic tech entrepreneur.
