Accela is proud to announce its Spring 2023 Release, which includes V23.1.x of the Civic Platform, for both SaaS and self-hosted customers, and numerous enhancements and updates to Accela Mobile, Accela Citizen Access, and Civic Applications.

The Spring Release was derived from direct customer input, and focuses on the following areas:

  • Increased value for customers
  • Make it easier to administer and extend SaaS solutions
  • Reduced administration costs
  • Increased leverage of process data
  • And continued tech modernization with new interfaces and UI frameworks

Accela Civic Platform V23.1: SaaS and Self-hosted

  • Space management improvements to increase flexibility for users
  • Transaction header updates to provide more information quickly
  • Enhancements to our APIs, in particular to manage licensed professionals in the system

Accela Civic Platform V23.1: SaaS-only

  • Enhancements to Global Search to make it easier for users to find records and to provide additional information on results
  • Full integration to PayPal’s Commerce Platform for easier system set up and administration, and very favorable transaction fees for Accela customers
  • Additional privacy features for reporting output

Accela Citizen Access (ACA)

  • Updates to the mobile experience when using ACA
  • New usability features with user registration processes
  • Administration updates with ACA’s form designer
  • Enhancements with ACA’s address range searching

Accela Mobile V23.1

  • Ability to use ESRI’s Federated Authentication capabilities for increased security
  • Additional usability with increased ability to customize Accela Mobile’s user experience

Civic Applications

Civic Applications are the pre-built configurations that shorten implementation time, leverage best practices in configuration and design, and ensures customers always know what the solution will be like when taken live.

With the Spring 2023 Release, Accela has built out our collection of pre-packaged user interfaces for all ten of our Civic Applications. These include UI assets for rich information presentment, pre-qualification wizards, and a modern, intuitive experience for residents, all from a low-code/no code web development environment.

The Spring 2023 Release is another example of Accela’s commitment to high degrees of performance, usability, productivity, and security.
